WELCOME TO TVBC PRESCHOOL MINISTRY (BIRTH - 5K)

A Safe Place to Learn, Grow, and Know God’s Love

At Tannehill Valley, we are grateful for the opportunity to care for your preschooler and help lay an early foundation of faith.

Through Bible stories, music, play, and age-appropriate activities, children begin learning who God is and how much He loves them.

We want every child to begin learning three basic truths: God loves me, God made me, and God takes care of me.

Learning & Growing

Babies

Even our youngest children can experience the love of Jesus through the care they receive. Our nursery volunteers provide a clean, safe, and nurturing environment where babies can play, grow, and feel loved.

Toddlers - 3K

Our toddler classes blend age-appropriate play with simple Bible teaching. Children begin learning about Jesus as we reinforce basic biblical truths through activities suited to their stage of development.

4K-5K, Little K

Through Bible stories, music, and crafts, preschoolers learn about God and His Word. Creative activities help them remember Bible stories and begin memorizing Scripture.

What Parents Need to Know

Care & Supervision

  • Diaper changes: Children in diapers will be changed at least once during each service.
  • Children attending both Sunday School and the worship service will be changed during each session.
  • Volunteer supervision: Our nursery team includes adults and older teens. Teen volunteers serve under adult supervision. If you find a teen caring for your child without an adult present, please notify the church office.

Check-In & Pickup

Our check-in procedures help us care for your child and ensure that children leave with an authorized adult.

  • Check your child in and out each time you attend. At check-in, you will receive a numbered pickup tag.
  • Keep your pickup tag. An adult must present the child’s tag before the child can leave the preschool area.
  • If another adult will pick up your child, give that person the pickup tag. They must present it at pickup.
  • Children may not pick up their siblings.
  • Please have one parent or responsible adult handle drop-off and pickup to reduce hallway crowding.
  • Label all belongings so we can keep each child’s items together.

Helping Your Child Feel Comfortable

For children who struggle with separation, saying goodbye once often makes the morning easier.

Please avoid stopping by between Sunday School and worship unless needed.

Pick up your child promptly after the service or program ends. Seeing other children leave can make little ones anxious to see their own parents.

Keeping Our Children Healthy

Please keep your child home when they are sick. We take precautions to keep our classrooms clean and help protect the health of every child.

If your child has had a fever, please wait at least 24 hours after the fever has ended before bringing them back to the nursery or preschool classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I drop off my child?

Classrooms open 15 minutes before each service or program begins. A parent or responsible adult must remain on campus while a child is in our care.

Please bring the items your child may need, such as a diaper bag, diapers, a bottle or cup, and a change of clothes. Label all belongings with your child’s name. A change of clothes is helpful for toddlers and preschoolers, too.

Please leave personal toys at home so your child’s special treasures do not get lost or mixed up
with classroom toys.

We make every reasonable effort to accommodate each child, though we may not be able to meet
every need.

Please record any special needs or allergies in our check-in system and discuss them with the classroom staff. Let us know about feeding, napping, diapering, or other care instructions that will help us care for your child.

If your child becomes inconsolable, we will contact you in person or through the buzzer assigned to you at check-in.
